LiveWorkSwitzerland was born out of my personal journey and the challenges I faced when starting my career in Switzerland.
When I first arrived in Switzerland, I came alone, with no professional network, no job lined up, and only basic German language skills. It was a challenging start, but I was determined to make it work. I spent countless hours researching jobs, applying, attending interviews, facing rejection after rejection, and riding the emotional rollercoaster of the Swiss job market.
After a year of hard work, I finally landed my first job, thinking that the hardest part was behind me. But I quickly realized how wrong I was. Not long after starting, still within my probation period, I was let go. The reason? My naivety and lack of understanding of the Swiss work environment, internal politics, and cultural nuances.
But I didn’t give up. I landed my second job within a month, and with the support of my family and mentors, I started learning, growing, and climbing the career ladder.
Through perseverance and a humble yet eager attitude, I was lucky enough to work with and help build some of Switzerland’s top startups and scale-ups. I even had the opportunity to contribute to Google’s Engineering team and help grow over 30 companies across Switzerland and the globe.
Along the way, I realized that my skills in recruitment could help my family and friends land their dream jobs and build new lives here in Switzerland. Helping others upgrade their careers became my true passion. I’ve been able to support two of my siblings in landing senior roles in recruitment and sales at fintech companies, and I even helped my mother get a job at a Swiss humanitarian organization.
Over the past decade, I’ve successfully placed over 1,000 professionals from entry-level to C-suite roles, in industries like IT, finance, pharma, and more. I’ve also helped many people in my network take the leap, relocate with confidence, and advance their careers, financially and professionally.
Now, I’m here to help you avoid the struggles I went through. I want to speed up your job search, share the insider knowledge I’ve gained from working as an internal recruiter, and make your journey easier.
